Lisa comes to Roy, Nielson, Platts & McGee from the well-known litigation firm, the Roark Law Firm, where she was a partner for almost four years. Lisa practices in the areas of family law, criminal law, and general civil litigation. In the area of family law, Lisa aggressively pursues her clients’ interests both in and out of the courtroom. She has handled family law cases ranging from simple modifications of child support to relocation cases to complex divorces with issues of valuation of real and personal property. Lisa has successfully argued in front of the Idaho Supreme Court.

Lisa graduated from Boise State University with a B.A. in Education and a M.S. in Educational Technology. During her studies at Boise State University she spent a summer in Puebla, Mexico at the Universidad de las Américas studying advanced Spanish and Mexican Civilization. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Idaho College of Law. During law school at the University of Idaho, Lisa worked as a summer law clerk for the Honorable R. Barry Wood, and gained valuable courtroom experience while executing her duties as a legal intern at the Latah County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Aside from her law practice, Lisa is a member of the local Inns of Court and volunteers with the juvenile diversion program, the Neighborhood Accountability Board. She is a member of the Idaho State Bar, the Family Law Section of the Idaho State Bar, and served on the Idaho State Bar Continuing Legal Education committee. She also participates in grading the Idaho Bar Exam and attended the National Conference of Bar Examiners in Madison, Wisconsin in 2013. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys traveling, learning languages, and golfing.

Lisa is fluent in Spanish and knows American Sign Language.
